Mayes County District Attorney -
Sid Wise
The ad above ran in a Tulsa newspaper's classified section.  Grimsley and Wise were looking for investors to invest in the writing of the book about the Girl Scout murders.  When investigators called the phone number in the ad the answering machine announced that they had reached the campaign headquarters of Sid Wise for State Attorney General.

A couple of days after the ad ran Grimsley is questioned about the ad and selling of the shares.  He denied having any cooperation from D.A. Sid WIse.
In November of 1978 Hart's defense team begins to raise the question of a D.A. who may be looking to benefit financially from the case and the murders.
Ron Grimsley is arrested in Drumright, Oklahoma later that same month.
The caption on this picture explains what is happening here but the subtext is the anger felt on the side of those who supported Hart. Sid Wise was a candidate for Attorney General of Oklahoma as well as the lead attorney against Hart as D.A. of Mayes County. When it came to light that Wise was funneling secret OSBI documents to Grimsley with the purpose of writing a book about the Girl Scout Murders, Hart supporters were immediately suspicious about the intentions of the D.A. and the integrity of the case against Hart.
There is some good humor here as the shirts jokingly call for Gene Hart to be Oklahoma's Attorney General. But it makes a good point.
